Smart Schools Bond Act

PRELIMINARY SMART SCHOOLS BOND ACT INVESTMENT PLAN

The New York State Smart Schools Bond Act was passed in the 2014-2015 New York State budget and was approved by voters in a statewide referendum during the 2014 General Election held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.  The Smart Schools Bond Act authorized the issuance of $2 billion of general obligation bonds to finance improved educational technology and infrastructure to enhance learning opportunities for students throughout New York State.

On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, the preliminary investment plan for the Nanuet Union Free School District was outlined in a presentation to the Board of Education and to the public by Ursula Carbone, Director of Technology/CIO.  Following the presentation, the Board of Education approved the Preliminary Smart Schools Bond Act Investment Plan.  A copy of the plan is available here.
